Its service life at high temperature can be considerably increased by employment in closed system out of contact with air or oxygen. It is characterized by non-toxicity and non-irritating, Oxidation resistance, water repellency, high resistance to permanent break-down due to shear. Silicone Fluid is water clear in appearance, and available in variable viscosity ranging from 0.65 centistokes to 20,00,000 centistokes. It exhibits little change in physical properties over a wide temperature span and has a relatively flat viscosity temperature slope and serviceability from -40 to 500°F (-40 to 315°C).
